Safe Work Australia (‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘SWA’) may collect, use and disclose some limited personal information as part of this consultation process.

This personal information is expressly set out in the project description for this consultation process. Provision of the requested personal information is optional, and you will still be able to participate in this consultation process if you choose not to provide it.

We will use any personal information you provide to manage this consultation process, including to conduct data analysis, reporting and research for our functions and activities. We may also disclose that personal information:

  • to our contracted service providers, so that those providers can provide ICT support or other services to assist SWA with this consultation process

  • in accordance with our publication requirements for this consultation process

  • in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We will not usually disclose your personal information to overseas recipients.

We ensure that all use and disclosure of personal information complies with our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Our Privacy Policy includes more information about how we handle your personal information, and how you can request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you or make a privacy complaint.

If you proceed, you:

  • consent to us collecting and handling any personal information that you provide, as set out above

  • declare that if you have provided personal information about another person, that person has consented to us collecting and handling their personal information, and

  • declare that the information that you have provided is complete, correct and up to date.

Confidential material

Where a submission includes both confidential and non-confidential material, the confidential material should be provided under a separate cover sheet and clearly marked ‘IN CONFIDENCE’. Material marked ‘in confidence’ will not be placed on this platform.

Disclosure of submissions

Any submission, regardless of whether it is published, must be released if requested under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth), unless an exemption applies. Your personal information may also be disclosed to third parties in accordance with our Privacy Policy, including where disclosure is authorised or required by law.
