LTIFR survey

Purpose – understand who is using LTIFRs and how they are used within organisations (such as for corporate reporting to assess productivity impacts and WHS performance, policy or WHS intervention evaluation), as well as specific issues or ideas for improvement.

Introduction to survey

The Lost time injury frequency rate (LTIFR) calculator is a data tool maintained by Safe Work Australia that can help you compare one aspect of the work health and safety performance of your organisation against industry benchmarks.

The LTIFR is the average number of lost-time injuries in each industry in Australia in each year, regardless of how serious the injury was and so long as it involved some time off work.

LTIFRs are useful for assessing lost productivity, including inadequate injury prevention.

We have a short survey for you to complete that will take no more than five minutes.

We would appreciate your feedback to help us improve the data tools available to you that can support the assessment of work health and safety performance.
